Lunar walks in Punta Giglio

Want to admire the moonrise in one of the most breathtaking places on the Riviera del Corallo? To best observe this celestial body that has always fascinated and inspired humankind, we’ve created a moon-themed excursion. You can stroll during the cooler hours, enjoy an aperitif in a restored historic building, and return along moonlit paths.

Lunar Walk and Aperitif at Punta Giglio – August 9th

Event program*

Meet at 6:30 PM at the entrance to Porto Conte Park.

At 6:45 PM, we set off on foot along the trails of Punta Giglio. Following a route through pine forests, woods, and Mediterranean scrub, we’ll reach the former SR 413 battery, renovated nearly four years ago and transformed into the Rifugio di Mare (Sea Refuge). Here, participants will enjoy an aperitif featuring local cured meats and cheeses, seasonal vegetables, and pizzas, accompanied by a glass of local wine or craft beer. A wide selection of soft drinks is available for children and teenagers.

Around 8:45 pm we will approach the military positions for a guided tour where the bravest will also be able to access the bunker (former powder magazine).
From the former shooting range, we’ll be able to admire the sunset and, shortly after, watch the moonrise over the Alghero harbour. We’ll return under the moonlight to the starting point.
The excursion is scheduled to end at 10:30 PM.
