We may be a bit biased, but Punta Giglio is the perfect place to spend a windy day.<\/strong> Walks in the woods are ideal for breathing in the scent of the Mediterranean scrub, taking advantage of the protection of the trees on most of the paths.<\/p>\n

The routes are accessible both on foot and by bike, while an electric shuttle service is available<\/strong> for those with mobility difficulties.<\/p>\n

At the end of the main route, you can stop at our Rifugio di Mare or continue and visit the MAPS<\/a> (Environmental Museum of Punta Giglio – Sardinia) to learn about the history of the former military outpost.<\/p>\n

How to get to the Rifugio di Mare<\/h3>\n

Rifugio di Mare and MAPS are located within the Parco Naturale di Porto Conte<\/a>.<\/p>\n

To access the forest area of \u200b\u200bPunta Giglio, follow the signs for Maristella and then Porto Conte. The Rifugio di Mare can be reached through various paths that wind between the woods and the coast, offering spectacular views.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The area can also be reached by public transport<\/strong> (it is advisable to always check with Arst, the local transport company) or, for the more sporty, by bike<\/a>(the road from Alghero is partly cycleable).<\/p>\n
